Acro Yoga

Acro Yoga is a form of body work that blends partner yoga, acrobatics & partner massage. It draws on traditional disciplines of yoga, gymnastics, acrobatics and combines it with a hint of fun and adventure. In acro yoga a base and flyer work together to complete various postures, which can eventually be linked together in a sequence or performance routine.

Acro Yoga provides a platform for one to explore yoga in a fresh and new way with the focus on developing trust, connection and support with yourself and your partner. It is dynamic and exciting and can challenge you by facing your fears and developing trust in yourself and someone else. There is a great saying which describes well the acro yoga experience “Life begins on the edge of your comfort zone”. Through acro yoga there is the ability to grow and expand on many levels whilst enjoying freedom and having fun.

This type of yoga is more appropriate for adults who have some yoga experience but for children, it is like fish to water as they don’t tend to analyse and be in the head so much.
