Kids Yoga
Matt loves to be around children and he has a real passion for teaching kids yoga. He believes this is where he can make a big difference.
The benefits of kids doing yoga are many including:
- Gives them a strong and flexible body
- Improves their co-ordination and awareness of themselves and their environment
- Allows them to have fun in a safe and learning environment
- Allows their creativity to shine
- Balances the release of hormones which aids in a smoother transition into teenage years
- Balances body, mind and emotions.
When Matt teaches kids yoga it is about having fun and allowing them to be expressive and creative but at the same time it is an educational tool in which they learn about themselves and their bodies.
Matt’s intention when teaching kids yoga is to: awaken the full potential in every child so they shine their light
From 2010 Matt has been focusing on taking yoga into schools and after school care centres and he has been invited back for Family Yoga at Mangrove Mountain numerous times(
