Yoga and the immune system.
Yoga stimulates the 4 main physiological systems that are linked to the immune system. These 4 systems are;
- circulatory,
- digestive,
- nervous, and
- endocrine systems.
Guess what amazing yoga practice works on all these 4 areas simultaneously ? Surya Namaskar or Salute to the Sun and that is why it is such a beneficial and all round practice. Other practices like the Fire Breath also work strongly on these 4 systems and this practice will be taught in term 3, particularly in the Tuesday night 10 week term class.
So don’t leave it up to your environment to stay strong and healthy this winter, take matters into your own hands and continue your practice of yoga through the colder months.
